President

Florian Schleiff 

Florian Schleiff is a seasoned mechanical engineer and business consultant who brings decades of professional experience to his role as President of the Swan’s Island Hall Fund. He and his wife Margaret spend their summers on Mill Pond, where they’ve become deeply engaged with the island’s vibrant community of year-round residents and seasonal visitors.

Since relocating to Swan’s Island for summers in 2019, Mr. Schleiff has been an active participant in local events, including community breakfasts and gatherings at the Hall and library. Recognizing the Hall’s vital role as a hub for connection and culture, he was motivated to join the restoration effort to ensure its continued service for future generations.

With a background in mechanical engineering and an MBA, Mr. Schleiff has led numerous projects as a contractor and consultant in Virginia and West Virginia. His technical expertise and strategic insight are instrumental in guiding the Hall’s ongoing improvements and long-term sustainability.

Secretary

Dorothy LeMoine

Dori LeMoine serves as Secretary of the Swan’s Island Hall Fund, bringing a deep commitment to community service and a strong foundation in business administration. A lifelong resident of Swan’s Island, she is deeply embedded in the island’s cultural and civic life, with leadership roles across multiple local organizations.

Ms. LeMoine currently works as Assistant Manager at the Swan’s Island Fisherman’s Cooperative, where she previously served as Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper. Her experience in the fishing industry is complemented by her service as Treasurer of the Swan’s Island Historical Society, and of Hancock Lodge #150, reflecting her dedication to preserving the island’s heritage and supporting its future.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Maine at Augusta, and also studied accounting at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. Her professional and academic background equips her with the organizational and financial expertise essential to the stewardship of the Hall.

Treasurer

Brian Stoehr

Brian Stoehr serves as Treasurer of the Swan’s Island Hall Fund, contributing his extensive financial expertise and strategic insight to the stewardship of this vital community institution. A transplanted resident of Swan’s Island, Mr. Stoehr is deeply committed to preserving and enhancing the Hall’s role as a gathering place for islanders and visitors alike.

Although now a seasonal resident, Mr. Stoehr spent most of his childhood summers on Swan’s Island, where his grandmother and other relatives were year-round residents. These formative experiences instilled in him a deep appreciation for the island’s culture, history, and close-knit community—values that continue to guide his involvement today.

Professionally, Mr. Stoehr is a Senior Manager at Vialto Partners, where he specializes in global mobility and cross-border taxation. He brings over a decade of experience in international tax consulting, having previously worked within PwC’s People & Organization practice. His background in managing complex financial operations and regulatory compliance makes him a valuable asset to the Hall’s financial planning and sustainability efforts.

Mr. Stoehr’s blend of technical acumen and community-mindedness reflects the spirit of the Oddfellows Hall Fund—ensuring that the Hall continues to serve future generations with integrity and purpose.
